
While at Whitney Young, Geiger has lead the Dolphins to their first ever individual qualifier in Cross Country, Rachel Joravsky, while the Dolphins, as a team, took 3rd in the City Conference meet and qualified for the IHSA Sectional meet for the first time ever. The Dolphins also took third in the City in Track, while qualifying three individuals and three relays for the IHSA state championships, including All-State runner Stephanie Omueti in the 100 and 200 meter dashes.
Coach Geiger is the current president of the Illinois Track & Cross Country Coaches Association, and is the Web and Meet Director for the Illinois Prep Top Times, Illinois' Indoor State Championships. Geiger is also the Long Distance Running Chairman for USATF Illinois. Prior to coaching, Geiger was an All-State and All-American distance runner for Bloom High School, and ran for DePaul University. After college, Geiger ran for the Adidas Running Club, and later for the Universal Sole Running Team.
